Various styles and designs in which canopies are manufactured

A canopy or awning is a projected cover or hood attached with a commercial or residential building. The use of canopies dates back to Persian culture where they were used for creating religious architectures.

This hooded structure suggested royal presence, but in today’s time it is used for serving multiple purposes. It aids in the beautification of residential properties. It is also used in commercial areas such as restaurants.
Commercial canopies
Commercial canopies add a touch of style and elegance to the property and can also create an area for customers. An awning can make an establishment look more modern and make it come off as a brand. Canopies come in various styles.

The first style is an arched one. This style is great for ensuring protection against sun, rain and wind. This style of awning provides more room for brand name and front facing graphics. It increases the visibility of a brand by heightening the signage at the entrance of business.

Next is an A-frame entrance, and the name itself explains how a typical canopy in this style would look like. Other than protection from sun and rain, it can shed the snow at the sides so that entrance is kept clean.

Waterfall commercial awning design is quite unique that offers the building a distinctly beautiful look. This style works best for buildings with stone facades. There is enough room for the graphics at the valance in this design.

In term of mechanisms, awnings have two types namely stationery and retractable. Stationery style is the one that remains just the way it is. However, retractable canopies work with a button’s push. According to the budget and requirement you can select automatic as well as manual canopies. Nowadays they are easily opened and closed with sensor activated and remote control. So the user can open and close them from within the building and without requiring manual help.

Awnings are essential for every business. Other than promoting the business as a brand, it also increases the productive space outside the establishment without needing any additional construction work. It avoids sun rays from penetrating the windows and heating up the room.

This way, it cuts down on energy costs by keeping the room cooler in summers. It also protects the items displayed outside from fading away due to sunlight. Canopies create a more hospitable area for customers to sit outside for dining purpose.
